Pasha Bhai, also known as Mohammed Affan Pasha, is a Dakhni Urdu rapper based in Bengaluru. He is part of the Clan Bokka Phod (CBP), and together they bring energy and originality to the stage.

Pasha Bhai consciously chooses to rap in Dakhni Urdu, the language of the Deccani people. Dakhni is spoken mainly by Muslims in Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Tamil Nadu.

Pasha Bhai’s debut album is ‘Bangalore Ka Potta’, which he released with producer Demixx Beats on November 4th, 2022. The album explores themes of personal identity, casteism, religious discrimination, linguistic and cultural heritage, and institutional violence.

‘Clan Bokka Phod’ is a Dakhni phrase for 'ball-breakers’. It’s the name of the group Pasha Bhai is part of.

Pasha Bhai was drawn to creating an album in Dakhni because it’s his mother tongue. He believes in the importance of preserving and promoting Dakhni, which is often dismissed as a dialect of Urdu.

As of now, there isn’t a specific dictionary for Dakhni. However, Pasha Bhai’s music can be a great resource for those interested in learning the language.
